Trivax

Trivax are an extreme metal band based in Birmingham, UK. They were originally formed in Tehran, Iran by frontman Shayan S however he moved to the UK in 2011 due to the restrictions placed on metal music in Iran.

Trivax have played a number of successful gigs across the UK and in November of 2016, they released their debut album ‘SIN’.

We were approached by Trivax regarding the possibility of recording a music video for one of the tracks off of their album.

They wanted to create a dark representation of the track but without using a traditional ‘stage’ set up. They also wanted to avoid the typical ‘still’ shots generated with a tripod in favour of a handheld approach to create an unsteady viewing experience which complimented the track.

We were extremely pleased with the outcome of the video. The unsteady footage and lack of light within the video made for one of the most unique videos we have put together.

With a mixture of a smoke machine, and a particularly cold winter day, we were able to create a very ‘cold’ atmosphere within the video. The colours used, mainly blue, were chosen by the band and stray away from the general colours used by bands of this genre, red or green, to help put their own stamp on the video during the filming process.

This helped us in the edit as it gave us a clear indication of what the band wanted and we were able to deliver this promptly and professionally.
